“May Edochie and her fans are trying to prove what I am not” – Yinka Theisen reacts to audio recording of her threatening to shoot certain people

Yinka Theisen, the ex-fiancë of actor Linc Edochie, has reacted to an audio recording of her threatening to shoot certain people.

In the audio recording, Yinka lamented over the hate and attacks she has been getting from Igbo women before threatening to buy a gun to shoot people or hide someone to do the shooting.

“I don’t play, I’m serious. By the time I buy a fucking gun and go out and fucking shoot them and hide people to shoot their fucking ass”, she said in the recording.

On her Facebook page on Tuesday, April 21, Yinka clarified that the trending audio had been edited and that the words had been misconstrued to create false narratives about her.

As expected, Yinka accused May and her followers of publishing only a part of the message to create a false narrative about her. Calling them ‘unhinged,’ she noted that they were trying to make her who she isn’t.

She claimed that May’s sister hired the woman she was talking to in the audio and dislikes Yul Edochie and his second wife, Judy Austin. She further claimed that the person wanted her to publicly apologise to May.

“Just to update everyone! Some of those jobless followers of Mary are sharing a voice note of me being upset. They play part of the video, not the entire one, to mislead people. In that video, I was upset about Igbo women going after me. I later explained that even in America, and being married to a white man, I never experienced such hate from some people who are supposed to be my people. I told the person I have two accounts. One account is an Igbo account supporting Nnamdi Kanu. Until this present display of hate, I have always had a soft spot for Igbo people. Mary and her followers publish the beginning of the message, not the entire one, for a reason. The entire message to the olodo that published it was about targeting me because I am Yoruba. Mary and her followers are unhinged, trying to prove I am what I am not. The person they should be focused on is the one who proposed to me after only knowing me for a short time. That is my irritation with this cowardly man! He knows me very well and joins others to speak ill of me because he is a coward, a coward who can’t defend his younger brother. I don’t expect much from him. I will not stop defending Ezedike and his gorgeous wife. Let them lie that I have lived in an asylum all my life; they will NOT stop me. I know exactly who I was talking to in that recorded message: someone who later told me they dislike Ezedike and Ijele with a passion and wanted me to apologise to their street queen publicly. This person even spoke to Ezedike’s brother. She is a woman employed by Blessing, the queen’s sister!”.

In another post, she dared them to post the entire message, noting how they have been attacking her job, children and everything dear to her. Yinka called May evil and vowed to expose her.

“I dare the cowards to post that entire message. That person claimed she wanted to help me since she loves me. Claimed that I had to make a public apology to their queen and that I could not win over her. I went off on her and referred her to Odogwu’s brother. She asked Odogwu’s brother to encourage me to apologise. At that point, Odogwu’s brother said I should not and that I had nothing to apologise to their quin about. They started going after my job, my children and everything dear to me. They went after Odogwu’s brother and threatened to call the American embassy to report that his engagement to me was fraudulent. There is nothing Mary and her followers did not do. At this time, they were using DPA & even asked him to send a letter on their behalf to the embassy. Mary is NOT a good person. She plays an elaborate game! I will make a video later. This woman and her evil need to be stopped!”.

On her Facebook page, Theisen noted how May is constantly reminding the public that she bears Yul’s first and last name, and slammed her for not allowing the public to rest since she filed for divorce. Yinka made May know that Judy and her children aren’t going anywhere and have been keeping Yul happy.

In a previous online attack on May, she called her a silly Queen, questioning how another woman could steal her husband if she were that great. Yinka further said that May had nothing going on for her.

Yinka also addressed Rita Edochie, whom she called an “old witch.” She noted that the veteran actress told her to open her walls and comment section so trolls could attack her. Telling them to bring it on, Yinka made it known that they had met their match.

Last year, May sent a cease-and-desist letter to Yinka demanding that she desist from making or publishing any further defamatory statements, issue a clear apology and full retraction, and demanded a payment of N500,000,000 as damages.

Reacting to it, Yinka noted that May violated her privacy by posting her address on social media, where anyone could see it. She expressed how sickened she was over her bullying tactics, as she noted how she wasn’t the first woman going through a divorce.

She had issued a stern warning to May, claiming that a bunch of her fans had written a petition to her employers just to get her fired. Describing their action as absurd, she threatened legal action and warned May to leave her alone, noting that she was the leader of the May Nation and her fans were doing her bidding.

Yinka was engaged to Linc in June 2025 and immediately began publicly showing love to Yul Edochie and Judy Austin, a move that did not go down well with supporters of May Edochie.
