“My wife can never wake up and tell me she wants to Japa” – Daddy Freeze weighs in on Roby Ekpo’s marriage crash

Kemi Filani reported that media personality Roby Ekpo recently opened up about the breakdown of his marriage with his estranged wife, Mayowa Lambe, accusing her of infidelity, deception, and financial strain in a deeply emotional account.

Roby Ekpo, on The Honest Bunch podcast, said he was shocked to discover that his wife had remarried after more than a decade together. He alleged that Lambe misled him throughout their marriage, including hiding her use of contraceptives from him and deceiving him about undergoing medical procedures aimed at conception.

Ekpo also claimed financial strain during the marriage, saying he regularly supported her despite his own earnings. The media personality alleged that Lambe once told someone he was not meeting her needs.

Weighing in, Daddy Freeze said his wife can never wake up and tell him she wants to japa. He blamed Roby for allowing her to travel to the US, while admonishing men not to relocate unless they can do so with their family.

Daddy Freeze notes that 90 per cent of people abroad get their papers through marriage, and Mayowa is an example. Freeze said he can never marry anyone for papers, nor will he allow his wife to do so. He stated that America is overhyped and that Canada is easier to get to.

If I don’t love my wife and I’m looking for a way to leave her, it’s either that I go abroad or that I send her abroad. We will drift apart naturally

90% of people abroad got their papers through marriage. Mayowa is an example. Roby said she married to get papers. I can never marry anybody for papers, nor will I allow my wife. Are we suffering? America is even hyped. It is easier to go to Canada than to America. I know many people in America now who are struggling financially”.

Roby and Mayowa reportedly married in November 2015 and kept much of their relationship private. While neither publicly confirmed their separation, reports indicate that Lambe recently remarried in Texas, United States.

In a recent interview, Daddy Freeze opened up about his failed marriage to his ex-wife, revealing that he only married her because she was pregnant. The controversial media personality recalled that he and his ex weren’t sleeping in the same room and that they were only going to church together. He spoke about the several appearances they made and how he hadn’t seen his kids in almost ten years.

Daddy Freeze got married to Opeyemi Olarinde and their marriage was blessed with two children, unfortunately, their union didn’t last long as their marriage hit the rock in 2014. Both couples laid allegations on each other for committing adultery and domestic violence.

In a shocking revelation in the middle of 2023, Freeze revealed that he had not seen his kids in 7 years, and won’t be able to recognize them if he sees them on the street. He further stated that the only number that his children’s mother gave him to contact them was her number.

The former OAP has since moved on and his now married to Benedict Elechi. The two had a secret wedding ceremony in the UK, officiated by the controversial celebrity pastor, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega.
