“Nobody uses them reach me, I am for the grassroots” – Wumi Toriola vents as she fumes at upcoming actors charging exorbitant prices

Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has lashed out at upcoming actors charging exorbitant prices.

The talented actress noted that many bebe are involved in their movies, yet lack the talent. She lamented over how the talented ones charge exorbitant prices.

Fuming, Toriola said half-baked actors with no intention of growing and working on their craft are now rampant in Nollywood.

The few ones wey sabi, they won’t wait till they start selling market before they call ridiculous prices,
As a producer and an actor, I am angry.

Pls call the price, but you see that “craft”
Be sure you know it
I am so.
Half-baked actors with no intention of growing or working on their craft fill the place.

In another post, Wumi said none of her colleagues uses upcoming actors more than she does, as she is for the grassroots. She stated that she first needs to know the actors before introducing them to EPs.

Call price but go market first and be sure dem don know you.

Toriola had called out Production Managers in the Yoruba movie industry for their nonchalant attitudes towards cast and crew. She shared a bitter experience she had on a movie set, and advised her colleagues.

Also, the Yoruba actress called out producers over the kind of roles she had been acting in movies. While promoting one of her movies, the mother of one decried the rate of violent roles she had been given to act and how it may affect her search for love.

Wumi lashed out at those looking for her trouble unprovoked. She said her mumu button has been activated and that she has committed herself to God’s hands. She, however, made it known that should they meet on a lonely road, she wouldn’t be able to hold back.

Toriola had issued a stern warning to the public, admonishing them not to expect so much from her. She noted that she had tried, but sometimes her coconut head doesn’t let her give up.

In an Instagram post, the Yoruba actress, while speaking on the detriment of godfatherism in the entertainment industry, noted that any deadly mistakes can lead to the death of anyone who has a godfather or godmother. She further noted how such people block intending helpers, cancel their opportunities, breed more hate for them, and lots more.
