Three arrested as Delta police smash notorious car snatching syndicate, recover 12 stolen cars


The Delta State Police Command has arrested three members of a notorious car snatching syndicate and recovered 12 stolen vehicles.

 

Spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, April 24, said the three suspects specialise in removing cars from where they are parked and deactivating vehicle tracking devices installed in them. 

 

“The above suspects are a very notorious car-snatching syndicate apprehended by the Command. The three of them are specialists in removing cars from where parked, they even go as far as changing vehicle chassis/engine numbers and deactivating vehicle tracking devices installed in the cars,” the PPRO stated.

 

“A total of twelve suspected vehicles have been recovered from Warri and Sapele areas. For those whose vehicles were stolen from these areas should pls go to Orerokpe police station for possible identification.”
