Nollywood actor and producer Adeniyi Johnson has issued a public announcement over scam alert.

He shared a screenshot of a chat from a man in the UK, who is impersonating him.

The actor made it known that he doesn’t know the person or represent whatever he stands for. He stressed that he doesn’t use the number nor has a manager or personal assistant.

Adeniyi urged the public to ignore chats or business proposals from the scammer as he prayed against anything that would ruin his reputation.

Similarly, days back, Israel had taken action against its Twitter impersonator. He shared a screenshot of one of his impersonator’s tweets, urging Nigerians to report the page before it caused him damage. The 002 performing artist lamented over how Twitter verified the fake page.

Actor, Bolanle Ninalowo lamented the multiple accounts on TikTok impersonating him. The actor, who doesn’t use the popular app, questioned how he can open a real account when his name has already been used.

In another post, he had reacted to the news of his impersonator defrauding a lady of N33 million. He noted that his job as an actor hadn’t even paid him N33 million per movie, and questioned what charm the impersonator had used on her, expressing bewilderment at the act.

Yoruba actress, Bimpe Akintunde had laid a heavy curse on a scammer for impersonating her. She questioned how the country would be great when she was struggling hard to build a name and brand, and someone was trying to taint her image by using her picture and name to defraud others.

Portable’s baby mama, Ashabi, had called out a scammer who was using her name and picture to scam people. She begged her fans to help her report and block the account as laid a curse on the scammer.

Actor, Alesh Sanni had placed a N500k bid on a lady who he claimed had been scamming people of millions, and posing as his friend. He revealed that he had reached out to her, hoping for them to settle things in private but her response caught him off guard. In a later post, he made a threat as he expressed sadness at how people were scamming one another, despite the hardship in the country.
