Onuachu attracts fresh Saudi interest

Trabzonspor striker, Paul Onuachu, has again attracted interest from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club, just weeks after rejecting an offer from the Middle Eastern country, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 31-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer following his impressive form in the Turkish Super Lig this season.

Last month, he was linked with a Saudi club that was ready to triple his salary, but the Nigerian forward turned down the offer.

According to the latest reports, he has again been listed by another Saudi club as a potential summer target, with the new suitors reportedly willing to offer him four to five times his current salary at Trabzonspor.

“One Saudi club has listed Nigerian international Paul Onuachu as one of the options they’re seriously considering signing for next season. As of now, nothing concrete has developed; it is still at the preparatory stage,” Nigerian OAP Buchi Laba wrote.

“I hear they’re willing to pay him four to five times what he’s currently earning in Turkey. Keep your eyes on this one—it’s going to get interesting after the season ends.”

Onuachu currently has a contract at Trabzonspor until 2028, with an option for an additional year.

He joined the Turkish Super Lig side from Southampton FC last summer and has enjoyed a prolific campaign, scoring 24 goals in 29 appearances to emerge as one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe.
