Leke Abejide celebrates double milestone in Abuja

A member of the House of Representatives representing Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi State, Leke Abejide, on Saturday hosted a double celebration in Abuja as he marked his wife, Esther’s 50th birthday alongside their 20th wedding anniversary.

The event, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Centre, Abuja, attracted political leaders, family members, friends, and several well-wishers.

The celebration began with a church thanksgiving service, where the couple renewed their wedding vows, exchanged rings, and shared emotional moments, including dancing during the service.

A highlight of the ceremony was when Esther read her vows to her husband, commending his commitment to their marriage.

“Your unfailing commitment to our vows, especially in sickness and in health, has been an inspiration for me,” she said.

She further recalled moments of care in their marriage, noting that at times she would hesitate to inform him when she was ill because “one would think he is the one sick among us.”

Speaking at the event, Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo praised Abejide’s dedication and work ethic, describing him as a committed leader and dependable public servant.

Former Governor Yahaya Bello also used the occasion to urge constituents to support Abejide’s re-election bid.

The ceremony was attended by other notable personalities, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; fashion entrepreneur, Seyi Vodi; and Nollywood stars such as Bukky Wright, Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin), Ronke Oshodi Oke, and Moyo Lawal, among others.

The event concluded with music, networking, and celebrations marking both the anniversary and birthday milestone.
