Nollywood actress Ireti Doyle has expressed gratitude to her Maker after turning 59.

The movie star, who celebrated her birthday on Sunday, shared photos of herself in a yellow dress, expressing gratitude to her Maker as she hit the last year of the 5th decade.

At the start of the year, Ireti had lamented over the toxicity of social media, as she took a break from the internet. She stressed that the world in general is becoming too toxic for her quiet soul.

While reflecting on journey into Nollywood, Doyle shared a throwback photo of herself on a movie set, revealing that this was her first foray into Nollywood and described her journey into Nollywood as diverse and colourful.

Early 2024, the veteran actress shared a harrowing experience on Instagram, where she spoke out about a near-death encounter with carbon monoxide poisoning. Ireti revealed how she was discovered unconscious in the car, foaming at the mouth with blood trickling down her nose, after unconsciously inhaling the dangerous gas. Luckily for her, divine intervention had played a crucial role in saving her life.

In 2023, Ireti spoke on why she still bears her husband’s surname, stating that the name ‘Ireti Doyle’ is now hers as it’s a name that is nearly 30 years in the making.
