“I only just became a mom, and my daughter wants to make me a grandma” – Toke Makinwa cries out

Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has lamented over her daughter’s behaviour.

Sharing a photo of her mini-me carrying her teddy bear, Toke noted that she had just become a mom, yet her daughter was trying to make her a grandma.

She urged her fans and followers to help her beg her daughter.

“You people should please help me beg Yaya. I only just became a mom, and she’s already trying to make me a grandma”.

On Mother’s Day, Toke shared photos of herself and her daughter, noting that, because of her, she was receiving personalised Mother’s Day messages. Calling her daughter sweet names, Toke said her daughter brought her ease as she makes motherhood easy.

The businesswoman responded to a netizen who accused her of being performative for only showing her daughter’s legs, arms, and back. Toke admonished the netizen to do what works for him. She said the long epistle over a child’s identity was bizarre.

On International Women’s Day, which coincided with her daughter’s 7-month birthday, Toke said she is raising a queen, and it’s her duty to hand her a crown.

Last year, was undoubtedly the best year for the former OAP as she welcomed her first child, a baby girl, named Yakira Eliana at 40.

Ahead of Mother’s Day, Toke had expressed disbelief at how she would be greeted with ‘Happy Mother’s Day’.

On Christmas Day, she shared photos of herself and her daughter in matching red dresses, noting how her Christmas mornings used to be quiet. However, it is different now, and her heart is not just full; her cup runneth over.

While counting down to Christmas, Makinwa shared a cute video of her daughter dressed in matching pyjamas standing beside their Christmas tree. She praised her daughter for doing so well shooting the video with her and revealed that she paid her for her appearance.

In a previous video, the former OAP shared a video of her massive Christmas decorations, saying this year’s Christmas is special to her because it’s her first Christmas as a mom. Expressing excitement, Toke said she was now unlocking a new family tradition.

While celebrating her daughter’s 4th-month birthday, she described her as her sweet child and noted how they have made it. Toke said God has been so good to them each step of the way and had ordained for their paths to cross.

On her 3-months birthday, Toke have an update on her daughter’s growth, saying she never thought she would feel this kind of love.

Speaking on motherhood, she had revealed how it transformed her personality. She noted that, throughout this year, she had been indoors due to her pregnancy, which was unlike her, as she is usually an outdoor person.

On her podcast, the former OAP broke down in tears as she reflected on her trials, revealing that she prayed to God that she wanted to turn 40 being a mum. She said that God answered her prayers as she got pregnant the next month after her 40th birthday.
