The All Progressives Congress, Ekiti State chapter, has constituted a reconciliation committee to address post-primary election grievances and strengthen unity within the party.
This followed concerns that trailed the conduct of the primaries for the state and National Assembly in some quarters of the state.
APC State Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, said in a statement made available in Ado Ekiti on Saturday that “the committee was set up as part of the party’s strategy to ensure a united front and collective purpose as Ekiti prepares for the 2026 governorship election.”
Dipe stated that the committee, to be chaired by former governor Segun Oni, would be inaugurated on Monday.
The APC spokesperson stated, “The reconciliation committee is mandated to engage all stakeholders, address any concerns arising from the recently concluded primary elections, and promote harmony, trust and collaboration across all structures of the party.”
He listed other committee members as former deputy governors Modupe Adelabu and Abiodun Aluko; Senate spokesperson, Yemi Adaramodu; Ekiti State House of Assembly Speaker, Adeoye Aribasoye; Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro; former commissioner, Mrs Ronke Okusanya; and a lawyer, Akinwale Adeyeye, who will serve as secretary.
