A POPULAR streamer has apologized to his ex-girlfriend after she made shocking claims about biting and bruises in her relationship.
Shelby Grace, a Twitch streamer better known as Shubble with more than 470,000 followers, went live on February 24 and spoke about an unnamed ex-boyfriend who she claimed was physically abusive.

Shubble claimed that her ex bit her, left bruises, and then poked her bruises for fun despite begging him not to.
“He would even joke that it looked like he abused me,” Shubble said.
“And eventually he did acknowledge how bad it looked that I was covered in bruises all the time, so he stopped biting my arms as often and he started biting my legs instead.”
She said that it took her a while to realize that the relationship had been abusive.
Shubble added that she and her boyfriend eventually established a “safe word” so that he could “learn where my limit was and where my pain tolerance ended” but that she felt “ignored,” she said.
Despite Shubble not naming anyone, fans pointed fingers at fellow streamer Wilbur Soot – real name William Gold – as the two had been in a relationship in the past and Wilbur mentioned several times that he is a “biter.”
On February 27, Wilbur took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to respond to the allegations.
“In the past week, a series of allegations have been made over my conduct from an ex-girlfriend. I want to emphasize that, although I feel it fair to offer my perspective, this person’s feelings are completely valid,” Wilbur wrote.
“I have taken my time sharing this statement as I wanted to process and respond respectfully and with the hope to gain a deeper understanding for the situation.”
Wilbur said that during the final months of his relationship with Shubble, he “regrettably became slobbish, disrespectful, and selfish,” which caused a lot of issues and “pain to my ex-girlfriend.”
“I’ve since sought therapy to address these behaviours, making significant lifestyle changes to rectify my past actions,” Wilbur wrote.
However, he said the allegations of abuse, particularly the biting, “deeply shocked” him as he believed it was consensual between both parties based on conversations they had.
“I understood from our numerous conversations and text message exchanges on the subject, that this behaviour was consensual, playful and reciprocally enjoyed,” he wrote.
“I truly believe those personal message exchanges reflect mutual affection and understanding. Out of respect for her, I choose not to publish them and I emphasise my perspective is not shared to diminish or invalidate anyone’s feelings.”
Wilbur extended an apology to Shubble for any pain he caused her and finished his statement by adding that he is “fully committed to understanding and addressing her concerns going forward.”
SHUBBLE’S RESPONSE
Several fans took issue with Wilbur’s statement, accusing him of trying to downplay the situation.
“There’s a massive difference between ‘I’m sorry about what I did’ and ‘I’m sorry this is being talked about,'” wrote one person. “The apology was the latter.”
“All those words yet you said nothing,” wrote another person.
A third person wrote, “Saying you’ve been to therapy and are growing does not equal taking accountability.”
In response, Shubble shared two tweets, revealing that she would be taking a break from social media.
“I could not have imagined what I would wake up to today,” she wrote.
“My ex pretending he thought I enjoyed being hurt… and all of my friends immediately coming to my defense. The support has brought me to tears, I don’t even know what to say. I’ll be back, I’ll just be taking a little time.
“And for the record, I don’t accept the apology,” she concluded.
