The 29 year old WNBA star had been accused of punching a security guard during celebrations following her team’s championship victory in the Unrivaled 3 on 3 basketball league.
According to reports, Ogunbowale and her teammates from Mist BC were celebrating at E11EVEN Miami in South Beach during the early hours of March 5 when an incident allegedly broke out involving a group at the venue.

Security staff reportedly attempted to remove the group, which allegedly included the four time WNBA All Star. During the confrontation, Ogunbowale was accused of striking a security guard in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
Police were later called to the scene, and reports stated the incident was captured on surveillance footage. Ogunbowale was arrested on a battery charge and taken into custody at around 4:20am without incident.

However, nine weeks later, reports said the charge had been dropped, although the exact reason for the decision remains unclear. Before the alleged altercation, Ogunbowale and her teammates, including Breanna Stewart, had been celebrating their first title in the newly launched basketball league.
Ogunbowale delivered a standout performance in the championship game, scoring 19 points in Mist BC’s 80 74 victory over Phantom BC.
