Speaking during an interview on Oyinmomo TV, the actress said many actors appear supportive on the surface but fail to stand by one another during difficult times.
According to Jaiye, relationships within Nollywood have weakened because many practitioners are facing similar challenges but are unwilling to speak out or support each other.
She recalled receiving little support after she publicly complained that her movie had been removed from several cinemas. Despite knowing the challenges she faced, she said none of her colleagues came to her aid, even though some had experienced similar situations.

The actress accused some Nollywood practitioners of showing affection only on special occasions, particularly birthdays, while failing to offer support when it is truly needed.
“So, I stopped wishing people happy birthday because I don’t want anyone to wish me one. Please don’t,” she said.
Jaiye also highlighted the financial realities of filmmaking, saying many people underestimate the cost of producing and distributing movies.
She explained that producers invest heavily in making films but often struggle to recover their money because of distribution challenges and limited support within the industry.
