Nollywood actress Omotola Ekeinde has recovered from her surgery following her directorial debut.

On her Instagram page, she shared a video of herself in the hospital, revealing that she was clearing her phone when she stumbled across it and now has time to post.

The movie star, who premiered her movie last month, noted that it has been a journey since her movie debut.

“Clearing my phone this Morning and saw some videos I had saved! Now I have time to post them!

Oh dear! What a journey it has been with my Debut “ MothersLove!”.

In 2024, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde battled an unknown illness. She shared a video of herself lying on a sick bed on her verified Instagram page while thanking God with Fireboy DML’s Iseoluwa.

In an Instagram post, Omotola showed off her scars while opening up about her surgical journey. She shared a video of her stomach filled with scars before pulling down her top. The mother of four spoke about how she had an emergency surgery on her tummy, and bragged about how unshaken she is despite the ones she has.

While celebrating her birthday last year, the famous star shared sultry photos online, expressing gratitude to God for another 365 days of life. Omotola was grateful to be alive in God’s plans, and thanked Him for the gift of life, good health and good friends.

It is no longer news that the legendary actress produced her movie, A Mother’s Love, which is showing in all Cinemas.

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde had stirred controversy after she revealed that she wouldn’t be dancing to market or promote her movies, describing such behaviour as unprofessional, noting how she has done a quality movie and needs to promote it.

This came after her colleague, Kunle Afolayan, during the premiere of his movie, stated that he is not interested in ₦1 billion or ₦2 billion in cinema earnings if he cannot get at least ₦10 million from them. He also took a swipe at his colleagues for constantly dancing to promote their movies.

Last year, Omotola lamented the industry’s condition, comparing it to Hollywood and calling for structure. The legendary actress revealed that she had been working in Hollywood for 4 years and gets monthly residuals. Meanwhile, she got no residuals in Nollywood, where she spent 30 years.
