Veteran Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has reacted to the reported passing of fellow actor Alex Ekubo, describing the news as painful and difficult to accept.

The emotional tribute, shared on social media, expressed shock and sadness over what he called a “very painful exit,” while also submitting to what he described as the will of God.

Yul Edochie referred to Alex Ekubo as a “good friend and brother,” praising his positive energy and impact on those around him.

He said the late actor had a way of lighting up every room with his charm and presence, making him loved within and outside the film industry.

According to him, Alex Ekubo lived a life that brought joy to many people and left behind memorable impressions in Nollywood and beyond.

In the tribute, Yul noted that while the industry mourns the loss, it also celebrates the legacy and personality of the actor.

He described Alex as a “great soul,” adding that his contributions to entertainment and public life would not be forgotten easily.

The actor further expressed faith, stating that despite the pain, believers must accept what he called the will of God, “the author and finisher.”
