President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to return to Nigeria on Wednesday after a two-leg foreign trip.
Recall that on April 23, the President left Nigeria to The Netherlands, then proceeded to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Special Meeting of the World Economic Forum WEF, which held from April 28 to 29, 2024.
But six days after the event, the president didn’t return to the country, and his whereabouts were shrouded in secrecy.
His continued absence and silence from the presidency raised speculation that the president may be undergoing medical treatment abroad.
But in a terse statement on his X handle on Tuesday, the special adviser to the president on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Mr Tinubu will be returning to the country from Europe on Wednesday.
He said the president will be back to the country alongside his aides.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with his aides, will return to Nigeria tomorrow from Europe,” Mr Onanuga said.
