Sweet moment Toke Makinwa reunites with daughter after 2 weeks in South Africa

Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has shared a sweet video of the moment she reunited with her daughter.

According to the media personality, she has been away for two weeks filming a movie in South Africa, which is the longest she has been away from her daughter.

Makinwa said the month of April was emotionally draining, but her daughter gave her life and strength. She said being away was hard, and she would come home crying and then pull herself together to be present at work.

The mother of one praised mothers for being superheroes without capes, noting how they do it all.

“Of all the crowns I wear, Mother trumps them all. Being your mommy gives me life. I have been away filming a movie in South Africa, and it has been the longest 2/ weeks of my life.
April was emotionally draining, but my daughter gave me life. I look at her and somehow find the strength to push through whatever. Being away was hard; I’d call home crying, then pull myself together to be present at work.

Ahead of summer, the mother of one, while I’m in Cape Town, South Africa, shared photos of herself showing off her banging body, abs, and flat stomach.

Last year, was undoubtedly the best year for the former OAP as she welcomed her first child, a baby girl, named Yakira Eliana at 40.

Speaking on motherhood, she had revealed how it transformed her personality. She noted that, throughout this year, she had been indoors due to her pregnancy, which was unlike her, as she is usually an outdoor person.

In other news, Makinwa shared a photo of her mini-me carrying her teddy bear as she lamented that she had just become a mom, yet her daughter was trying to make her a grandma.

On Mother’s Day, Toke shared photos of herself and her daughter, noting that, because of her, she was receiving personalised Mother’s Day messages. Calling her daughter sweet names, Toke said her daughter brought her ease as she makes motherhood easy.

The businesswoman responded to a netizen who accused her of being performative for only showing her daughter’s legs, arms, and back. Toke admonished the netizen to do what works for him. She said the long epistle over a child’s identity was bizarre.

On International Women’s Day, which coincided with her daughter’s 7-month birthday, Toke said she is raising a queen, and it’s her duty to hand her a crown.

On her podcast, the former OAP broke down in tears as she reflected on her trials, revealing that she prayed to God that she wanted to turn 40 being a mum. She said that God answered her prayers as she got pregnant the next month after her 40th birthday.
