Summer Transfer: Lille Lead Chase For Orban

Nigeria’s Super Eagles eligible player Gift Orban is now on highest demand by a top French club Lille.

This was disclosed by an Italian Journalist via a tweet.

The tweet reads, “Lille has a genuine interest in acquiring Gift Orban as their new striker. While several clubs are keen on the Nigerian forward, Lille has recently initiated contact.

“With potential significant offers for the Canadian striker Jonathan David expected soon, Gift Orban could serve as his replacement,”

Further reports revealed that already Lille have contacted Orban’s current club Gent of Belgium to inquire about the player’s availability.

According to Lille sources, they want to acquire him as a replacement for Canadian striker Jonathan David, who is attracting interest from English Premier League giants, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Orban Link/Exploits With Gent, EPL Preference 

Orban, who joined Gent from Norwegian club Stabæk for €3.3 million during the January transfer window, has enjoyed a remarkable campaign.

He has scored 20 goals in 20 appearances for his team, including three hat-tricks, as he prefers a move to top Premier League clubs, excluding Arsenal.
