AN ADULT film star has been found dead in her home under suspicious circumstances.
Sophia Leone, 26, from Miami, Florida, was found dead on March 1 in her Albuquerque, New Mexico apartment, the family confirmed on Friday.

Leone’s death is being investigated by Albuquerque homicide detectives and being treated as a “suspicious death,” her agent said.
Her modeling agency, 101 Modeling (@101modelinginc) said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Leone’s death is “being investigated as a home invasion homicide.”
“Our hearts are broken by the untimely and tragic passing of our beloved Sophia Leone,” 101 Modeling said on X.
“A beautiful spirit who touched many of us.
“RIP sweet angel and know how much we loved you.”
She has been described as a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend.
Leone loved animals and had three pets of her own, she also enjoyed traveling and making people smile, her stepfather Mike Romero wrote on a GoFundMe page.
“Sophia was found unresponsive in her apartment home on March 1st, 2024 by her family,” Romero said on GoFundMe.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news of our beloved Sophia’s Passing.”
“An investigation by local Police into the cause of death is still currently ongoing.”
All the donations will go towards costs associated with the investigation, funeral expenses, and “any other costs that may arise as the family works through this heartbreak.”
“The sudden loss of Sophia has left her family and friends devastated and in shock, on top of the difficult process of grieving and seeking Justice for Sophia the family is also facing the financial burden that they were not prepared for,” the page added.
“Sophia will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.”
They set the goal for the fundraising page to $12,000 and it has currently raised $5,725 as of Saturday afternoon.
Leone’s death comes just days after it was revealed that adult film star Emily Willis was in critical condition after an overdose.
Adult film star Kagney Linn Karter was also found dead in her Ohio home about a month ago.
People have expressed their condolences for Leone on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“My condolences to her family, friends, and fans. May she rest in peace,” one user said.
“They need to carry out proper investigation to unravel the cause of her death,” another user said.
“The untimely deaths of these adult film stars are deeply disheartening. What’s behind these tragedies?” this user said.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Albuquerque police department for further information on the investigation.
