PRINCE Andrew infamously claimed he couldn’t sweat and rarely “partied” in his car-crash Newsnight interview – now immortalised by Netflix.
But photos appear to paint a very different picture of the Duke of York’s younger days, when he was branded The Playboy Prince.

The nation cringed as they watched Andrew offer bizarre defences to questions put to him by then BBC Newsnight host Emily Maitlis in 2019.
Asked about Virginia Giuffre’s claims he was “sweating profusely” when they are said to have danced together at Tramp nightclub in London, the royal said he had a “peculiar medical condition”.
That condition, he claimed, meant he “didn’t sweat at the time”.
His accuser Giuffre claims she danced with the Duke before going back to Ghislaine Maxwell’s house on the night of March 10, 2001.
It was there that the notorious photo of the late Queen’s favourite son with his arm around the 17-year-old Virginia was taken, as Ghislaine watched on.
Giuffre claims Jeffrey Epstein paid her around £8,000 after she had sex with Andrew.
He also famously claimed he could not have been at Tramps that night as he was at Pizza Express in Woking, Surrey.
In another cringe-worthy moment in the Newsnight interview – dramatised in the new Netflix film Scoop – Andrew claimed he rarely “partied” and wasn’t a fan of public displays of affection.
But he was often snapped with his arms around glamorous women back in the day – including Heidi Klum and Chris Von Aspen.
These are seven times the Prince was seen sweating and partying – despite his claims.
Bulgari party, 1999

In February 1999, Andrew was pictured at London’s fancy Dorchester Hotel, where a Bulgari party in aid of the NSPCC was held.
He was pictured with his arms around dazzling redhead Aurelia Cecil as he planted a kiss on her cheek.
She was there as head of the PR company that organised the bash – but it is rumoured she dated Andrew for around 10 months.
The Duke attended her wedding to Rupert Stephenson in 2000.
He went to the gathering with none other than Ghislaine Maxwell.
Chinawhite Nightclub, London, 2000
Andrew was caught on camera running down the street after leaving a club in London, at around 2am in July 2000.
His blue shirt was unbuttoned at the top and he appeared disorientated and sweaty.
The Duke, then 40, had spent the night at Soho’s Chinawhite nightclub.
The legendary London venue has been a favourite haunt of celebrities over the years and his own nephew Prince Harry.
Hookers & Pimps Party, New York, 2000

That same year, Maxwell famously took Andrew to a “Hookers and Pimps” Halloween party.
Before heading to the event, they stopped off at the Lotus Restaurant in New York.
A picture showed Maxwell wearing a bleach blonde wig, midriff-baring top, and folder trousers, with her arm around Andrew – who was leaning on a red counter.
The pair then made their way down the road to the Hudson Hotel for the themed bash – hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum.

The model, then 27, donned a black PVC catsuit as she posed with the prince.
While Andrew chatted to Klum, Maxwell went over to speak to Donald Trump, who was also at the party with his new girlfriend Melania, according to reports.
Maxwell was known to indulge the fun-loving Andy, taking him to parties and introducing him to US society.
Tramp Nightclub, London, 2001

One of the most damaging pictures for Andrew has been the one allegedly taken of him after leaving Tramp nightclub in London with Epstein, Maxwell, and Giuffre.
Andrew’s accuser previously told BBC’s Panorama that he was “the most hideous dancer I’ve ever seen in my life”.
She added: “It was horrible and this guy was sweating all over me, his sweat was… raining basically everywhere, I was… grossed out from it, but I knew I had to keep him happy because that’s what Jeffrey and Ghislaine would have expected from me.”
In the photo taken after that night, Andrew appears to be wearing a near-identical blue shirt to the one worn when leaving Chinawhite months earlier.
Andrew has denied ever meeting Giuffre and has maintained his innocence.
French Resort, Saint Tropez, 2007

At a party in the French resort of Saint Tropez on July 25, 2007, Andrew cosied up to American socialite Chris Von Aspen.
At a lavish party thrown by a Libyan businessman, the 47-year-old asked to be introduced to Chris, 25.
At the time, she was dating Prince Albert of Monaco’s right-hand man Bruno Philipponnat.
Chris’ friend, the Haitian-born artist Jeffrey Dread, told the Evening Standard at the time: “Andrew came over to me and asked, ‘What’s her name? She is beautiful. I love the way she carries herself. She is very classy.”
Jeffrey added that there were many “beautiful girls flocking” to the prince, but he only had eyes for Chris.
Pictures showed a shiny-faced, wide-eyed and grinning Andrew receiving a hug from Chris as she tried to lick him.
Another showed him with his arms on her waist as she danced in a white mini-dress.
Dread added: “She danced with Andrew for most of the evening until the party ended at about 3am.
“He followed her everywhere she went, even to the bathroom, and at one point he gave her a head massage.”
An onlooker said in 2019: “Chris later claimed she hooked up with Andrew and you can see in the pictures that he was having a great time with her.
“He had a wild look in his eye – you can see that in the pictures too.”
Billionaire’s Party, Saint Tropez, 2007
Three days later, Andrew was at another party thrown by billionaire Tony Murray – this time dancing with Canadian socialite Pascale Borubeau.
He also appeared sweaty and wild-eyed as he posed with his daughter, Princess Beatrice, who would have been around 18-19 at the time.
Despite his teenager being present, the prince was seen going nose-to-nose with Pascale, the daughter of philanthropist and Canadian politician Andre Bourbeau.
A former Saint Tropez partygoer told the Mail Online in 2019: “These were really crazy years for Andrew.
“He was clearly having a full-blown midlife crisis.
“He would have been 47 or 48 at the time, divorced from Sarah Ferguson, and basking in the attention he got from young women.”
Tycoon’s Party, St Tropez, 2008

A year on, the Duke was back in St Tropez and this time attended a party hosted by French wine tycoon Claude Ott.
The theme was “White”, and a casual-looking prince in an open-necked linen shirt was photographed apparently grinding with a woman believed to be Libyan model Nadia Boejna.
Snappers who took the photos claimed the pair were “dancing and kissing all night long”.
One onlooker told the Daily Mail at the time Andrew was “swatting the women away like flies” at the party, while another described him as “an absolute girl magnet”.
It is reported that after his wild party in the Cote D’Azur, the prince returned to the UK for a more subdued August at Balmoral with Sarah Ferguson and his children Eugenie and Beatrice.
Andrew’s Infamous Newsnight Interview
PRINCE Andrew’s painful Newsnight interview in November 2019 saw him grilled over his links with dead paedo Jeffrey Epstein, his pal Ghislaine Maxwell and allegations he had sex with a 17-year-old.
During the interview, Andrew said he had “no recollection” of meeting Virginia Giuffre – who he is alleged to have had sex with at Maxwell’s house in London.
He even provided an “alibi” claiming that the night the alleged encounter took place he was at a Pizza Express birthday party in Woking with his daughter Princess Beatrice.
Epstein committed suicide in a jail cell in August 2019, just a month after he was arrested for sex trafficking minors.
A flood of horrific accounts of his abuse of young girls then followed.
In 2022, socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was jailed for 20 years for abusing and grooming dozens of girls for twisted Epstein.
The convicted sex trafficker and Andrew would allegedly flirt with each other when they hung out together on Epstein’s notorious Caribbean island Little St James, the former housekeeper has claimed.
After Maxwell’s sentence, the Duke of York was said to be the lawyers’ “next target” of a probe into the sex ring controlled by multimillionaire paedophile Epstein.
The Duke agreed to a £12million settlement with sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre in February 2022.
