The lawmaker’s appeal followed a renewed assault on Wednesday night where unknown gunmen reportedly invaded Odo-Eri community and abducted a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) alongside his wife, children, and several other residents in what he described as a fresh wave of violence.
Karimi urged security agencies to do everything within their power to ensure the safe recovery of the abducted victims and the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.
He commended the efforts of security operatives so far but stressed that a swift and decisive response is needed in the wake of Wednesday’s attack.
Describing the incident as “the last kick of the bandits” after being severely overpowered in recent weeks, the Senator said the renewed attack must not be allowed to undermine the gains made by government and security forces in the area.

He called on residents to remain calm and vigilant while cooperating with security agencies by providing useful information that could lead to the arrest of the criminals masquerading as bandits.
“Government is doing its best. Our security agencies are not resting on their oars as they have proven to be equal to the task,” he said.
Senator Karimi expressed confidence that the recent attack will be short-lived and that the culprits will be brought to justice.
