Our attention has been drawn to the malicious and false claims purportedly made by Ms. Iniobong Edo Etim (Ini Edo) of Minini Empire Productions Limited circulating on social media, claiming to be the owner of the intellectual property in the Netflix original movie SHANTY TOWN.
We wish to notify the general public to ignore such false claims as we continue to assert our right as the sole and exclusive owners of the copyright and all associated intellectual property in the movie SHANTY TOWN.
Our creative director, Chinenye Nworah, is the sole initiator and sole copyright holder of SHANTY TOWN. Any claims suggesting otherwise are entirely false, baseless and without merit.
We hereby declare that all rights, including but not limited to copyright, trademarks, and any other intellectual property rights, associated with SHANTY TOWN, belong solely to our creative director, Chinenye Nworah through Giant Creative Media. We hereby advise news agencies and blogs peddling these false allegations to desist or face legal action.
We have instructed our lawyers Olisa Agbakoba Legal to take all necessary legal measures to further protect and secure enforcement of the intellectual Property of our creative director. We therefore urge the general public to disregard any misinformation or false claims from all quarters circulating on social media regarding the ownership of SHANTY TOWN.
This is a warning that any unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of the movie or its associated intellectual property will be met with immediate legal action and sanctions in order to protect our creative director’s interests and uphold the integrity of the intellectual property we so hold in Shanty Town.
