Peer pressure made me get a BBL — Mercy Eke

Reality TV star, Mercy Eke has shared why she decided to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), saying the procedure was influenced by the trend at the time and peer pressure.

Speaking during a recent interview with Korty EO, the Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner revealed that she did not tell her mother about her decision because she expected her to discourage her from having the surgery.

“At the time it was just the trend, maybe peer pressure cause I have a beautiful body. 

“I was really scared, I didn’t tell my mum because I didn’t want anybody to discourage me. It was me and my two other friends, we planned it together and did it at the same time.

Mercy Eke also spoke about the recovery process, describing it as painful, especially during the first few days. 

She explained that people who undergo the procedure cannot sit or sleep on their backs for about 14 days while healing.

“After the surgery You get to have your massage and I think that is the painful part and the fact that you won’t sleep with your butt for 14 days, you have to lay with your stomach then when you wake up from the surgery it is painful, you cry for three days….It is soft now”

Despite the challenges she experienced during recovery, the reality TV star said she is happy with the outcome and now feels comfortable with her body.
