Ogunwusi shares moments with son at birthday celebration

A former wife of the Ooni of Ife, Silekunola Ogunwusi, marked her birthday during the week with an intimate gathering attended by close family members and friends.

The celebration took place at a culturally themed restaurant, where the ambience reflected elegance and tradition. The celebrant arrived in a simple, patterned robe, exuding grace as she welcomed her guests and settled into the evening’s activities.

Throughout the event, Ogunwusi shared warm moments with attendees, engaging in lively conversations and laughter that defined the tone of the occasion. One of the highlights came when a specially curated birthday song was played in her honour. As the music filled the room, a cake was presented, accompanied by cheers from guests.

Her young son drew admiration from those present as he danced excitedly beside his mother. In a touching moment, he later sang a birthday song to her and expressed gratitude for her guidance and values.

Speaking at the event, a gospel artiste, Darey Justified, described Ogunwusi as a blessing and commended her impact and spiritual influence. “I feel so blessed to be celebrating Her Royal Highness. An amazing prophetess of the Most High God. A huge blessing to this generation and beyond. She is beautiful inside and out. I want to thank God for the gift of her to everyone in the world,” he said.

Another emotional moment occurred when her sister, Simi, became teary-eyed while expressing appreciation for Ogunwusi’s love and support.

The evening ended with a brief thanksgiving session, after which guests took turns to pose for photographs with the celebrator.
