The African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain said the country’s position on global terrorism lists has worsened since the current government took office.

Naija News reports that he spoke during an interview on Symfoni Tv, where he discussed governance and insecurity across the country.

The former Anambra State governor said that Nigeria was ranked 8th among the most terror-affected countries when the current administration began but has now moved to about 4th place. He warned that if the situation is not controlled, the country could move even higher on the list.

Obi said, “When this government came into being, we were number 8 in the most terrorized country in the world, today we are number 4 and I’m definitely sure that we will make it to number 1 if we continue in this direction.”
