NPFL: Remo Stars coach, Abdallah happy with victory over Shooting Stars

Remo Stars technical adviser, Usman Abdallah has expressed satisfaction with his team’s derby win over Shooting Stars.

The defending champions edged out Shooting Stars 1-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Sunday.

Samuel Anakwe’s second half strike gave Remo Stars the maximum points in the game.

Abdallah admitted that the encounter was tough.

“The most important thing is the three points, and we were able to get it against Shooting Stars,” Abdallah told the club’s media in a post-match interview.

“The intensity of the game was undisputed as I already told my players to expect a tough game against Shooting Stars.

“The target is the maximum points, and we are happy with the outcome of the game, the struggle continues.”

Remo Stars remain in the relegation zone despite the victory.
