NPFL: Babaganaru lauds Kano Pillars’ determination in win over Rivers United

Kano Pillars technical adviser, Mohammed Babaganaru, has hailed his players’ determination in the win over Rivers United.

Babaganaru’s side defeated Rivers United 2-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

The veteran tactician admitted that the encounter was tough.

“We have to be happy for the victory, but to be sincere, the game was tough,” Babaganaru told the club’s media.

“Rivers United are a very ambitious team and they did everything to force a point in the game, but we must commend my players for their determination to get the victory.

“The players should continue to believe in themselves and do so with a positive character.”

Kano Pillars moved up to 12th position in the league with 45 points following the win.
