A PASTOR who was nearly shot at but survived the harrowing incident has referred to his life being sparred as the work of God.
Reverend Glenn Germany of the Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church located in North Braddock, Pennslyvania, 11 miles east of Pittsburgh, was mercilessly targeted – but a gun jam saved his life.

The shooting attempt occurred around 1 pm Sunday while Germany was giving a sermon about the “enemies of God.”
The terrifying moment was caught on tape as the sermon was being live-streamed.
Police identified the suspect as Bernard Junior Polite, 26, who was arrested and taken in for questioning.
MIRACULOUSLY JAMMED
Germany alleged in an interview one day after the attempted shooting that Polite pointed the gun directly at him but it didn’t fire.
“He pulled the trigger and a miracle of God happened that the gun got jammed,” Germany told Good Morning America on Monday.
“That bullet had a name on it.”
Germany said it was a miracle he was alive.
The church deacon, Clarence McCallister, also noticed the suspect about to shoot at Germany and tackled him down as he pulled the jammed trigger.
“I just jumped up and … pulled his arm down to his side and locked him up,” McCallister told Good Morning America.
McCallister was seen in the live stream of the sermon snatching the gun away from Polite.
Germany is grateful for McCallister’s brave deed and said it was heroic.
“I think that was an act of heroism if I’ve ever seen one,” Germany said.
McCallister and other churchgoers held Polite down until police arrived.
Germany described the attempted shooting to his local news after it occurred.
“I started to begin to preach, and all of a sudden, from my left-hand side, I saw him move from the back to the front of the church, and he set up in the front corner of the church and smiled at me,” he told ABC affiliate WTAE.
“All of a sudden, I just saw a gun pointing right at me. And at that point, all I could try to do is run for cover.”
“I’m thankful to God that I’m still here because he definitely pulled the trigger.
“I was like, this is not happening. I thank God because only God stopped and jammed his gun.”
Polite allegedly told police he shot Germany because “God told him to do it,” according to the complaint.
The suspect lives nearby to the church and police discovered a turn of events after they arrested him.

Police later searched Polite’s home and found a 56-year-old man dead inside, according to a statement from the Allegheny Country Police Department.
The medical examiner’s office identified the man as Derek Polite.
It is unclear what the relationship was between Polite and the victim found in his home.
Polite is facing charges of recklessly endangering another person and aggravated assault.
There is also an investigation into Polite’s connection to Derek Polite’s death.
