No fire incident at factional ADC chair Gombe house — Police

The Gombe State police command has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that the house of a factional national chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Nafiu Bala, was set ablaze in the state, describing the information as false and misleading.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, said the command had not recorded any such incident anywhere in Gombe State.

“The command confirms that the report is false, as no such incident has been recorded anywhere in the state,” Abdullahi stated.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, urged members of the public to disregard the misinformation and remain calm, assuring residents of the command’s commitment to maintaining peace and security across the state.

“The Commissioner of Police, Gombe State Command, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, urges members of the public to disregard this misinformation and remain calm, as the command remains committed to ensuring peace and security across Gombe State,” the statement read.
