Military Warns Of Possible Boko Haram/ISWAP Threats

Operation HADIN KAI has assured residents of the North East of adequate security ahead of the Eid El Kabir celebrations, saying troops have been deployed to strategic locations across the region to ensure peaceful festivities.

The military says intelligence reports indicate possible isolated attacks by Boko Haram and ISWAP elements targeting crowded places during the celebration period.

However, security agencies, alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force and local vigilante groups, have intensified surveillance and patrol operations to prevent any breach.

Residents have also been advised to remain vigilant, avoid suspicious movements and promptly report any strange objects or activities to security personnel during the Sallah celebrations.
