MAAUN medical laboratory students record 100% pass rate in final professional exams

The Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, MAAUN, has recorded a major academic achievement as all its Medical Laboratory Science students who sat for the 2026 Final Professional Examination passed successfully, recording a 100 percent success rate.

The remarkable performance has further strengthened the university’s reputation for academic excellence and quality professional training in the health sciences.

According to the 2026 Final Professional Examination result summary released by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), all 88 students presented by MAAUN for the examination passed with impressive grades.

The Medical Laboratory Science programme requires students to undertake three professional examinations before graduation. The first examination is taken during the second semester of the 400 Level, while the second and final professional examinations are conducted in the 500 Level, in accordance with the guidelines of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.

The latest result marks another significant milestone for the university, highlighting the effectiveness of its academic programmes, the commitment of its lecturers, and the hard work of its students.

Reacting to the development, the President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, congratulated the students on what he described as an exceptional and historic achievement.

He said the 100 percent pass rate in a highly competitive professional examination reflects the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and its determination to produce competent healthcare professionals capable of meeting both national and international standards.
