THE only surviving son of convicted child killer Lori Vallow has shared his joy after learning his wife is pregnant with their third child.
Colby Ryan, 28, is the son of so-called cult mom Vallow, who was convicted of murdering her children, Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow.

While Vallow has already been convicted of her children’s murders, her doomsday author husband, Chad Daybell, is currently on trial for his alleged role in their deaths and the death of his wife, Tammy Daybell.
Both of Colby’s siblings were found buried in Chad’s backyard months after their disappearance.
On Wednesday, multiple people testified against the alleged child killer.
An insurance broker shed light on the fact that Chad married Lori shortly after Tammy’s death, and never brought up her kids.
It was later revealed that at the time, both of Colby’s siblings were dead.
The medical examiner, who has retired since performing Tammy’s autopsy, also testified that Tammy died of asphyxiation, but couldn’t determine how that happened.
As Chad’s trial is expected to continue for another three to five weeks, Colby returned to YouTube to share that he and his wife are expecting another child.
The excited father captured the moment he and his wife, Kelsee, found out they were having a baby boy.
“I’m in here trying to get the setup and they want to send us the gender of our baby, right here, right now,” the excited father said to the camera.
He said he originally planned to do a different video, but after receiving the news, he decided to capture the raw moment.
Both Kelsee and Colby began to cry as they read their gender announcement.
“I always wanted a boy. I love our girls, I’m totally a girl dad, but now I get this opportunity, that almost feels like a new opportunity to be a dad,” he told his followers.
“I feel more blessed than I could ever tell you guys.”

- February 2024: Lori beams in court during hearing – months after she was charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
- March 2024: Chad was booked into the Ada County Jail in Boise, Idaho, ahead of his trial. Daybell will be holed up inside the jail until his trial ends.
Tylee was last seen on a family trip at the Yellowstone National Park on September 8, 2019.
Her little brother disappeared a few weeks later in Rexburg, Idaho, on September 22.
Lori Vallow claimed for months that the kids were safe and living with family members.
However, she refused to show proof of that to authorities.
“Pretty early on [after their disappearances] I reached out to my mom and she was being really shady about it before she cut everybody – including me – off,” Colby said.
“And then obviously, you’re going to start questioning, ‘Is everyone alive? Are they OK? What if the worst has happened?’ – but you can’t think like that.”
At first, he wanted to be positive and assume the best of his mother.
“There was a lot of back and forth and a lot of fear,” Colby said.
“But I had to keep faith also that there was a possibility nothing happened because I couldn’t imagine anything happening, especially with my mom.
“In my mind, there was just absolutely 100% no way that she would hurt them.”
However, after his mother was arrested, he started to doubt his siblings were OK.
The concerned brother would regularly show up to prison asking for answers.
“I asked her 100 times, ‘What’s going on?’” Colby told The U.S. Sun. “And the only answer I ever got was, ‘Everything’s going to be revealed soon.’
“So I just left. It was always a question mark – you couldn’t get a straight answer.
“It was already hard enough to reach out and be the one to chase her down,” he added. “But that’s just kind of how it went.”
HAUNTING DISCOVERY
On June 9, 2020, the missing person probe turned into a murder investigation after the bodies of both children were found on Chad’s property in Salem, Idaho.
The two kids were buried in shallow graves with Tylee’s remains being dismembered and burned while JJ was wrapped in duct tape and stuffed in a trash bag.
After the news of his sibling’s death, Colby admitted to going into a dark spiral.
“I was having the darkest thoughts about hurting them,” Colby admitted of his mom and her husband.
“[I was thinking] ‘You want to hurt and kill my family? Then I’m going to kill you.’
“It was so, so dark. But that’s how you feel when you want revenge.”
CHARGES DROPPED
Around 2022, years after his sibling’s body was discovered, Colby was arrested for sexual assault, but the charges were dropped shortly after.
“I can confirm that this office has filed a motion to dismiss without prejudice, which allows the office to file charges in the future and provides time for additional review of the case,” Maricopa County Attorney’s Office communications director Jennifer Liewer told CBS.
He was previously accused of raping his wife while they were watching TV.
His wife told investigators that they were kissing on the couch, but she told Colby that she didn’t want to go any further.
However, he allegedly pursued her even after she told him to “stop” because she didn’t “want to do it,” court documents stated.
Colby did not enter a plea deal before the charges were dropped but he did give a tearful apology to his wife.
