After crunch talks with the Board of Barcelona FC on Wednesday night, club legend Xavi Hernandez has decided to stay put with the club.
Xavi had announced he would leave Barcelona at the end of the season.
But a meeting with the club’s President Joan Laporta, and Board members has triggered his change of mind, according to reports from Spain.
This was actually revealed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on his X page.
Romano wrote: “BREAKING: Xavi has decided to change his mind and STAY as Barcelona manager!
“After tonight’s meeting and Laporta insisting for him to stay, Xavi accepts Barça conditions and will continue as head coach.
“Formal steps to follow.”
Barcelona have struggled in the current season, a situation that has made them lose matches especially at the La Liga.
