The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 for session 2 results were announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today, revealing that 56 candidates have attained a perfect 100 NTA score in Paper 1 (BE/BTech). Among these high achievers are two female candidates, Sanvi Jain from Karnataka and Shayna Sinha from Delhi.
In comparison to the previous year, the number of students scoring a full 100 NTA score has increased significantly. Notable states with top achievers include Karnataka, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, and Telangana.
For instance, Telangana leads with 15 students reaching the perfect score, followed by Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh each with 7 students. Delhi sees an increase from 2 to 6 top scorers, while Haryana has 2 candidates achieving the 100 percentile mark. Uttar Pradesh only had one candidate this year compared to four last year.
NTA reports a total of 9.24 lakh candidates registered for the JEE Main 2024 exams, with 8.2 lakh students appearing for the tests held in January and April. Common candidates registered in both sessions numbered 924636, with 822899 candidates appearing in both sessions.
Last year, the JEE Advanced cut-off for general category candidates was 90.77, which has now increased to 93.23. Similarly, the qualifying scores have seen an upward trend for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories, showcasing a competitive academic environment.
