YOU can now stay in the world’s most unique hotel inspired by nature which has its own forest, a beach terrace and a waterfall.
With more than 340 rooms spread across 23 storeys, the Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel in Singapore is nothing short of an architectural wonder.

The dramatic Jenga-shaped hotel has four open terraces, each stacked on top of one another and designed to blend in with nature’s paradise.
One of them has been transformed into a full-blown beach, while the other is covered with a lush garden and standout pillar columns.
Guests visiting the stunning property enter through what is called the hotel’s forest – a 130,000-square-foot large area covered entirely with 100 different species of plants.
Inside the green space is a breathing forest pond made alive with algae and a giant waterfall.
A floating bar has been built just near the pond for guests to have drinks while enjoying the serene beauty of nature.
The first sky terrace is situated on the fifth floor – and two giant patio doors lead the way to the hotel’s beach.
Featuring an artificially built lagoon, the terrace has a pebble-wash finish that recreates the effect of sand – making it seem pretty close to a real beach.
Guests can relax on floating sofas while sipping on their botanic-themed cocktails available at the unique Florette Bar.
Each Beach Club Loft has its own walkway and floating sofa, with direct access to the sea.
Above Beach Terrace on the 11th floor is Garden Terrace, featuring an outdoor bar with lounge space, manicured gardens and unique “reflection pools”.
At the top of the hotel comes the highest open space called the Cloud Terrace.
It is sheltered with a green canopy fitted with photovoltaic panels that turn sunlight directly into usable energy.
Inside the Cloud terrace is a 400-seat ballroom and an event plaza for guests wishing to host lavish parties in style.
However, the most unique feature of the hotel is that none of the terraces are air-conditioned –
Hong Wei, director of the firk that created the hotel, told Dezeen: “The open-air, cross-ventilated yet sheltered spaces were designed specifically for Singapore’s equatorial climate, where warm, humid air and frequent heavy rainfall make fully outdoor events a challenge,” said the studio.
“The huge volumes [of green plants] function as giant sunshades to the terrace and rooms, while the reflective ceilings act as thermal mirrors, providing radiant cooling by doubling the surface area of gardens and water.”
All these plants – which cover almost 300 per cent of the hotel’s land area, are flushed with water harvested from rain.
Even the rooms inside the hotel have different, nature-inspired finishes to carry the overall “green theme” of the property.
