In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she noted how the world tells her time heals, but how can time heal a wound carved from the very heart that first beat for her? She noted how it’s been 41 days since she was laid to rest, but the love still grows wild in her.

Faithia said her mother was more than a mother to her, as she was her first home, her safest prayer, her loudest cheerleader, and her softest landing place. She promised to keep living so she could be proud of herself.

“41 days have passed since we laid you to rest, Moomi, yet every sunrise still feels like the first without you.

The world tells me time heals, but how can time heal a wound carved from the very heart that first beat for me?

41 days ago, I watched them lower your body into the earth, but they could never bury the love you planted in my soul. That love still grows wild in me, unpruned, untamed, refusing to wither even when my eyes burn from crying, and my chest feels too small to hold this ache.

Iya oyinbo, you were not just my mother; you were my first home, my safest prayer, my loudest cheerleader, and my softest landing place. Making her first post after the burial, she shared a clip from her mother’s burial, noting how her beloved mother had finally gone to rest. The movie star bade her mother farewell, telling her to rest well.

While announcing her return to work, the ex-wife of Saidi Balogun said it had been deeply emotional for her and her family, and appreciated the public’s support during the difficult time. She announced that the major celebration of her life and legacy would be held next year so that they could honour her properly.

In another post, she spoke about the struggle of promoting her movie following her mother’s death. She said, despite being on set, shooting her movie promotion, her heart was still heavy from saying goodbye to her mother.
