A TARGET user has blasted the store for one of its anti-theft measures and said it would affect their shopping habits.
This shopper shared their thoughts after a recent in-store experience.

The customer and X, formerly Twitter, user @ihatethiskid complained about Target’s use of see-through doors in the store.
These doors are made of plexiglass and are a security and anti-theft measure some retailers use.
They require customers to press a button to call for a staff member to unlock the door and hand shoppers the items they want.
In the post, the X user shared a picture of a deodorant aisle that had been locked behind these clear doors.
“I’d rather die than buzz an employee to give me deodorant,” the shopper said.
The shopper also said that this security measure impacted shoppers by making them wait for the items.
Another X user replied to the post and joked about the wait times.
“Knocking politely and waiting for the deodorant itself to open the case would be faster tbh,” they said.
“I watched an older man hit the buzzer 3 times and so I just left,” the original poster said.
They also shared a video that showed the whole aisle, which also included razors and shaving foam, had been covered in plexiglass.
“They actually locked up everything,” the shopper posted.
“Is this a joke,” they asked in the video’s on-screen caption.
They shared another post that showed a picture of two deodorants in their hand from another retailer.
“Don’t worry Kroger is for the people,” they said.
Other X users also shared their anger at this anti-theft measure and how it has drawn some people to shop online instead.
“This just happened to me I said f**k it I will get it off Amazon,” the person commented.
“That’s a turnaround and walk out situation,” another commenter said.
