“I don’t love her anymore, but ” – Yvonne Jegede’s ex-husband, Abounce, opens up on failed marriage (Video)

Olakunle Abounce Fawole, better known as Abounce, has spoken on his marriage to actress Yvonne Jegede.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, he revealed that he no longer loves or has feelings for the actress, but still respects and honours her because she is the mother of his son.

The actor and filmmaker said he would risk his life to protect her if she were ever in danger and ensure that she was safe. According to him, if she were ever in trouble, he would step in because she is his son’s mother.

Recall that Jegede met the son of late actress, Bukky Ajayi, on the set of Tade Ogidan’s popular drama series, ‘Behind the Siege”. After years of being together, the lovebirds tied the knot in a classy wedding ceremony in Lagos in February, 2018. Unfortunately the marriage didn’t last long as a year later, the couple split when Yvonne was still pregnant.

In an interview, Yvonne disclosed that her ex-husband is a deadbeat father who hasn’t shown any form of support or interest in the life of their son, Xavier. She recounted how Olakunle Fawole only showed up once to see the child after she gave him an ultimatum and how he doesn’t celebrate their son on his birthdays.

In another interview, Jegede revealed that she walked out of her marriage because she was contributing more financially than her ex-husband. The movie star further expressed regrets over choosing love instead of money, and added that her ex-husband took every joke as disrespect because he was older than her, which worsen things.

While reflecting on her single status early this year, Jegede revealed that she started 2024 single and ended it single.

Last year, Yvonne had revealed the qualities she is looking for in her future partner. She disclosed that she wants a man with a good mind and empathy and one that can give her N20 million when she asks for N1 million.

Yvonne is believed to be in a relationship as the mother of one, in an Instagram post showed off the gifts she received from her man. The movie star shared photos of the flower bouquet, cash, and love note she received. Yvonne said the gifts made her day, noting that her boo is a gift that keeps giving.

On Valentine’s Day, this year, Yvonne shared a video of the gifts her man gave her on Valentine’s Day. Expressing gratitude for a new start, she said it had been a roller-coaster of emotions and a beautiful day to be loved.
