“I discovered the name and earned it” – Peter Okoye responds to X user who asked him to drop the Psquare name

Nigerian singer and songwriter Peter Okoye has responded to an X user who tackled him for still using the Psquare name after changing his birthday.

The tweep noted how he changed his birth date yet couldn’t remove the Square from his profile. She admonished him to remove the Square if he didn’t want anything to do with his twin.

“You shifted the birth date from the 18-30 Nov, yet you still haven’t removed the Square from your profile.

If you don’t want to have anything to do with the twin tag, remove that square immediately”.

Responding to her, Peter revealed that he had discovered the name, earned it, and would own it.

“Exactly why some of y’all are pained. I discovered the name, I earned it, and now I own it.
It’s a game of chess, remember we are still in court even as of yesterday! With time, you’ll understand. Una go dey alright las las”.

Hours ago, in a series of tweets, Peter pointed out the irony that no one mentioned they were blood when his brothers were stealing from him and creating a false narrative about him. He warned against dragging women into their beef, noting that the women weren’t in their lives 20 years ago. He said even if his parents were alive, he would still step back from his siblings.

A day back Peter announced on Twitter that he was officially changing his birthday to separate himself from his twin.

In another tweet, Peter announced that November 30th is his new birthday, not November 18th. The singer said it is a personal decision and he appreciates the public for understanding.

His tweet didn’t sit well with netizens, who dragged him.

Responding to critics on Twitter, he questioned why they were so pained and outraged that he cancelled Christmas. Peter further questioned why people were crying more than the bereaved and noted how it is causing more pain to many than Nigeria’s real problems. He made it known that their insults don’t move him.
