In an Instagram story, he said he believes in the creator and the universe, believes in himself, and mostly believes that he is God and God is him.

Omah clarified that, though he isn’t, he and God are one, and he believes that so much. He said he believes the world is a piece of art, and that the Creator is somewhere, having fun while editing things.

The singer stressed that he believes God kept a piece of Himself inside him because he can create.

“I believe in the creator and the universe, I believe in myself, mostly in myself because I believe that I am God. I believe that God is me. Maybe I am not God, but I and Him are one. I believe that so much.
I believe that this world is a piece of art. The creator is somewhere having fun, editing it, taking some out, putting some back, keeping the balance. He’s just improving his art every day, and I’m just one piece in the whole puzzle. So I believe that God, whatever he did with me, he put a piece of himself inside of me because I can create”.

A year back, Omah cried out to God as he lost his mind. He told his Maker to help him as he took a swipe at the music industry, slamming contracts, labels, the music business, and his younger self.

In a message to his fans and followers, he warned them against religious fanatics, telling them to avoid overly religious people as they are dùmb. He admonished them to find the truth, and it will set them free. He further noted that life is good and that the right information is key.

His post wasn’t surprising as the ‘Damn’ singer had expressed disinterest in religion, as he admitted that he used to be religious, till he gained fame and started making money, and now had backslidden.

In a different news, in an interview last year, the Afrobeat singer recounted how a popular musician had stolen his idea and created an album with it. Omah said he had to remake his album and believed it would be the greatest.

While responding to an old tweet of his, in which he spoke about the difficulties he faced while writing a song, Omah Lay said that most of his songs were inspired by his own misery.

Omah Lay has quite a good track record of songs, with hit tracks like SoSo, and a host of others headlining music charts.

His music has been described several times as a fusion of Afro beats and melancholy. Omah Lay’s fans even gave his music an entire genre, calling it Afro-depression.
