Horror as woman raped in her own home after two men broke into her house as cops release pictures of suspected attackers

A WOMAN has been raped by an intruder during a home invasion, police said Monday.

Two men broke into her home at around 6 pm on Saturday and assaulted the 49-year-old woman.

The Brooklyn, New York native lives near 59th Street and Ninth Avenue in the Sunset Park neighborhood.

After the men assaulted her, one of the men raped her before leaving, the police said.

The victim was rushed to a Maimonides Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition, police said.

The NYPD asks for the public’s help in identifying and tracking the perpetrators.

The surveillance photos released by cops show one of the intruders wearing a hoodie with light-colored pants.

The other wore black pants, a white coat, and a wool hat.

Both are described as being in their 30s, between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet, with slim builds and black hair.

Rapes have decreased citywide this year compared to last, according to NYPD data.

As of December 17, there had been 1,401 reported rapes, down nearly 11% from 1,572 at the same time in 2022.

With 25 reports between December 11 and December 17, compared to 23 in the same week in 2022, the statistics indicate a slight increase during the holiday season from last year.
