A political group under the aegis of City Boy Movement has commenced mobilisation of adults and youths across the 13 Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State, for the 2027 re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu.

The State Director of the group, Aisha Abdullahi-Adamu, stated this at the maiden leadership convergence and strategic orientation meeting of the group on Wednesday in the Keffi Local Government Area of the state.

Aisha said several residents of the state decided to join the group in appreciation of the reforms by the Tinubu administration, which, they said, has greatly improved their livelihoods.

Aisha, who is the daughter of a former Governor of Nasarawa State and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, said members of the group would ensure the landslide victory for Tinubu in 2027.

She said Nasarawa State executives and stakeholders across the 147 wards of the state have been urged to canvass support for the President and other politicians who would emerge as candidates of the APC during the forthcoming primaries of the party.

She added that the meeting was also in preparation for the inauguration of leaders and stakeholders of the City Boy Movement in the state.

“Our movement plans to secure as many votes, using the youths, for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his re-election. And I think that every youth out there who understands what a country should run like and what a bright future should look like would be inclined to vote for the President.

“This is because if you closely examine the situation, he is the only candidate in the whole country that has a working blueprint for the nation, a structure, and a working political party. So far, he is doing well for our nation, and we strongly believe that he will do more if he is re-elected as President in 2027,” she added.

In her speech, the Coordinator, Contact and Mobilisation of the City Boy Movement in the state, Khadijat Suleiman, said the core objectives of the group include Youth empowerment, Civic education, Political mobilisation, and Grassroots engagement.

Also speaking, the Executive Assistant on Political Affairs to the State Director of the City Boy Movement, Hadizatu Allahnanan, said Tinubu had introduced bold and far-reaching reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s economy and strengthening governance at every level.

She explained that the Tinubu administration has pursued economic restructuring, infrastructure development, student loan initiatives, local government financial autonomy, support for small and medium enterprises, youth empowerment programmes, tax reform bills and policies designed to attract investment and create meaningful opportunities for every Nigerian.

“Through the Renewed Hope Agenda, this administration remains committed to national growth, economic stability, and a brighter future for all citizens.

“As proud members of the Nasarawa State Chapter, our mandate is clear: to support this administration by creating awareness around government policies and programmes, engaging and empowering young people, promoting unity, and mobilising citizens at the grassroots level.

“We must stand as true ambassadors of discipline, integrity, inclusion, and service within our communities,” she added.

Earlier, the State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Yahaya Jaji, while welcoming dignitaries and all members of the group from across the state, emphasised the need for unity of purpose in order to guarantee the re-election of Tinubu.

Jaji, a former Commissioner of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission, assured that the leadership of the group in the state will continue to be fair, transparent and prioritise the welfare of its members and supporters at all times.

Our correspondent further reports that the ‘leadership convergence and strategic orientation meeting’, which had no fewer than 1,000 supporters of President Bola Tinubu in attendance, featured goodwill messages from prominent individuals, a question-and-answer session, and other exciting activities.
