As Gombe residents continue to savour the beauty and merriment occasioned by the holidays afforded them courtesy of this Yuletide period, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has disclosed that it deployed over 780 of its personnel to keep the peace in the state.
The Corps explained that the reason for the deployment is to ensure that the state is safe for the peace loving residents and visitors to celebrate the season.
Disclosing this in an interview with Arewa PUNCH, the Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Gombe State Command, Saad Buhari informed further that the command is determined to secure both the residents and visitors to Gombe State.
According to him, the command under Commandant Muhammad Bello would not tolerate disregard to civil orderliness.
He stressed, “Commandant Muhammad Bello has so far deployed 780 personnel for the protection of lives and property during this Yuletide. The NSCDC in Gombe will ensure that both residents and visitors enjoy a jolly yuletide.”
Buhari added that beyond the festive period preparation, men of the command have always committed to maintaining the peace and security of the country, insisting, “We assure the peace loving residents in the state to go about their normal activities without fear. When they see anything, they should contact NSCDC and other security agencies to nip it in the bud.”
