Firm unveils AI platform for election monitoring

A technology firm, Crown Softech Ltd, has unveiled an Artificial Intelligence-powered communication platform designed to support electoral processes and business operations.

The platform, known as WaFlo, is a “Software-as-a-Service” solution that integrates Meta Business APIs across WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger to enable organisations manage customer and public communications from a centralised system.

In a statement made available to our correspondent on Saturday, the Lead Architect and Founder of the firm, Sikiru Obarayese, said the platform was built to address challenges associated with handling large volumes of messages across multiple channels, particularly for businesses, public institutions and elections.

“WaFlo aggregates messages from messaging applications and social media comment sections into a single dashboard, allowing teams to respond to inquiries simultaneously while maintaining a coordinated workflow, “ he added.

Obarayese added that the platform deployed AI to automate responses to frequently asked questions, route complex issues to appropriate personnel and provide 24-hour customer engagement.

He said the platform was developed with a focus on security, transparency and responsible use of AI.

“In investigative journalism, we rely on secure, transparent systems to protect information. I brought that same rigorous framework into the development of WaFlo.

 “As we integrate AI to automate conversations, businesses need to know their data is safe and that the AI behaves predictably. We engineered a secure environment where organisations can trust the integrity of their data while scaling their communications,” he said.

Obarayese added that the platform could be deployed by electoral bodies and civic organisations to disseminate verified information and manage voter engagement at scale.

“As a journalist, I have seen firsthand how misinformation can derail democratic processes. WaFlo’s AI-driven architecture was built to combat this. It allows electoral bodies and civic organisations to instantly broadcast verified voter information, combat fake news in real-time, and respond to millions of citizen queries,” he said.

Obarayese also noted that government agencies could utilise the platform to automate routine public inquiries, including tax and licensing services, while maintaining an auditable record of interactions.

“Public service should not mean endless waiting for citizens. By deploying this software, government parastatals can automate routine public inquiries and provide instant 24/7 support, freeing human operators for more complex tasks,” Obarayese added.

He described the launch of WaFlo as a significant step in delivering enterprise-grade communication infrastructure for both private and public sector use.
