Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has made her first post following her mother’s burial.

Kemi Filani reported last month the Yoruba actress lost her mother on the eve of her 55th birthday party. She said the reality of her passing hasn’t fully sunk in because she was her cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner.

On Saturday, March 7th, the actress’s mother was finally laid to rest on Saturday, March 7th, with a few of her colleagues in attendance.

Taking to her Instagram page, she shared a clip from her mother’s burial, noting how she has finally gone to rest. The movie star bade her mother farewell, telling her to rest well.

“My mother has finally gone to rest, IYAMI OWON, sun ree ooo”.

When the news of her mother’s death topped headlines, Regina Chukwu shared a touching video of the moment Faithia Williams learnt of the devastating news. In the clip, the famous actress was seen on her phone, breaking down in tears as her colleagues surrounded her.

Grieving the loss of her mother, the Yoruba actress shared a dark photo, stating that her world is dark and broken.

Williams had shared a heartbreaking video of her mother’s birthday wish to her before her untimely passing. Sharing the video, the ex-wife of Saidi noted how it had been 8 days since she left the world without talking to her. She stated that she was still shattered and broken.

In April 2024, Faithia had lost her father to death. She announced his demise on her Instagram page, as she expressed sadness over his death and prayed his soul rests in peace. A week later, the movie star had laid him to rest according to Islamic culture with some of her colleagues in attendance and had penned an appreciation note to the public.
