A bystander (@theeboy_12) posted a video of the incident to TikTok where it received about 4,000 likes.

It was unclear how the issue began, but the video starts with a police officer leaning on a cart full of miscellaneous terms.

He appears to be yelling at a woman, who we learn quickly was one of the car owners, to ‘calm down’.

“I have my receipt,” she exclaimed to the officer as she pulled out the folded paper.

The second woman tries to converse with the officer as well.

Both women and a young girl were confused and frantic as they tried to explain that they were not stealing.

“This is all new to us,” said the second woman to the officer.

“This is new to me.

“But they went through the whole cart and the receipts.

“Everything is on the receipts.”

The cop was captured glancing to the side a few times, smirking, seemingly ignoring both women.

About halfway through the video, the women were shown directing their questions and confusion towards another man in the background.

He stands there unbothered by both women speaking to him.

The people behind the camera begin to get confused about what’s going on as the scene escalates.

“It’s always us against each other, always us, always us,” says a woman as she watches the incident.

“Talk about the white man, we know they’re coming, but I’m scared of walking out of my apartment because of our own people.”

The bystander was referring to how the two women involved were both people of color as was one of the men that wouldn’t let them leave.

The issue was not resolved during the TikTok but rather concluded with one of the women and the man walking away back into what looked like Walmart customer service.
