Chelsea legend, Chris Sutton has accused Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag of just being ‘jealous’ of Arsenal after the Dutchman bemoaned the Red Devil’s injury record this season.
Ten Hag had shortly before the FIFA international break aimed a dig at Arsenal and suggested that the Gunners had been lucky with injuries, especially in comparison to his own side.
This is notwithstanding that the Gunners themselves have suffered from big injury blows during their title push with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson ruled out for months.
Sutton told Betting Sites: “That could well be a bit of sour grapes maybe from Ten Hag. I don’t think that you can say Arsenal have been lucky with injuries.
“But you know, as a consequence of Arsenal having that continuity while they’re doing so well. Ten Hag has done well but he’s probably jealous to be looking and seeing Arsenal just miles ahead of them at the minute.”
