Naija News reports that the case was heard on Thursday, where the prosecution told the court that the earlier three-count charge had been reviewed and increased to five counts. Following this update, the court removed the previous charge and replaced it with the new amended one.

The hearing is being handled by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, who presides over the Federal High Court in Abuja.

El-Rufai was in court and responded to the allegations by pleading not guilty to all five counts filed against him.

The matter is still at an early stage, and the court has not taken further steps beyond the arraignment.
