Kemi Filani reported that Roby had a meltdown during an interview on The Honest Bunch podcast, tearfully recounting his years with Mayowa and describing them as wasted. He accused her of infidelity, deception, and financial strain, and alleged that Lambe misled him throughout their marriage, including hiding her use of contraceptives and deceiving him about undergoing medical procedures aimed at conception.
Reacting to it, via Twitter, Jade slammed Roby Ekpo’s friends for allowing him to hop on a podcast to share his story. Calling out his friends for being bad, she noted how Roby aimed to come off as a victim, but it didn’t work.
“This Roby guy… his friends are not good people oo. Why did anyone allow this guy to go on this show? I know he intended to come off as a victim, but bruh, ko work ooo”.
In another tweet, she stated that though mën and women should speak up, it shouldn’t be with exploitative podcasters, who are trying to make money off their pain and don’t care about their mental health. Jade said she would never allow any of her female friends to go on a podcast while reeling from heartbreak.
“Mën and women should speak. Absolutely. But not to exploitative podcasters who are trying to make a buck off your pain and don’t give a sh*t about protecting you or your mental health. You need to seek help in healthy ways, not in ways that harm you. Vulnerability to the wrong people can be destructive rather than helpful. Seek “safe” spaces, seek wise counsel. Becoming an internet gist and a viral meme at the height of your pain is not a healthy way to go about healing. If he were your brother, would you want this for him? Empathy is giving your friend a shoulder to cry on when he’s in pain, not turning him into a public spectacle. This applies to both mën and women. I would not allow my female friend to go on a podcast while she’s reeling from a heartbreak to reveal all sorts of private information about her life to strangers. This is not a healthy vulnerability! For anyone!
Responding to her, Do2dtun noted that friendship takes different forms and said he prefers that Roby find closure rather than choose a more sinister path.
“My darling Jade, I want to believe you keep the same energy as you’ve implied. Again, a friend takes on different forms in people’s lives, especially when you stand in the gap for them, no matter what. He needed a let-out. If that’s his let out, I’ll support him.
Again, I would rather he find closure than choose a more sinister path. He is here, and I’m glad he is. When there is life, there is a way. You are a movie maker; please use your platform too as an avenue to project mental health amongst people. Your comment was an ill cringing knowing you could have either suggested what would have been a better option over the use of mockery. Again, Jade, let’s find a better way of beating people when they are down, even if we need to beat them”.

Responding to him, Jade said the internet isn’t a therapy and strangers aren’t their confidants. She said as Roby’s friend, he should have been the shoulder to cry on, and not sent him to ratings vultures on a podcast.
“My darling Dotun, I do keep the same energy. The internet is not therapy, and strangers aren’t your confidants. As his friend, you should have been his shoulder to cry on, you shouldn’t have sent him to ratings vultures on a podcast at the height of his vulnerability”.
In another tweet, she said the media personality needs healing, as he is projecting his own biases onto what she hasn’t said, and it shows his issue isn’t with her.
“Dotun, my dear, you sef need to heal oh. You’re projecting your own biases onto what I haven’t said, and it shows that your issue isn’t with me, my dear. I wish you well with whatever demons you’re fighting, hun”.
Responding to her, Dotun said Jade has lost the plot and noted how she was imposing her views on how people should act on others.
“Please stop the dear bullshit. It’s patronising. You lost my respect. You want to play dirty, let’s play
Jade, you have completely lost the plot. I thought we ended this. Clearly, you have so much to say. You are imposing your views on how people should act on others, calling us “bad friends” for looking out for my friend. Look at you talking about me healing. Your comment is disgraceful. Who are you to tell people about healing? Your films don’t teach anything so much that they qualify as what anyone can learn anything from. You dish out a diagnosis that you can’t defend. You have never even reached out or contributed to my journey, not to mention my process, so who are you to judge? You are completely deluded to leave the real issue and focus on my healing. You are not better than I am, nor are you rid of traumas. I never said you were my problem, nor will you ever be my solution, but sometimes learn to shut it if you can’t process your opinions with tact”.
