A WALMART customer has stood her ground over receipt check rules after not showing one when walking out of the store.
A police officer started to question the woman as she had a cart full of items but would not show a receipt to the Walmart worker.

The woman became visibly upset that she was being accused of shoplifting but swore that she had not.
A video of the situation was shared by the Baltimore County Observer on YouTube.
The woman told the police officer she believes a person can only be detained if there is reasonable belief to think someone was shoplifting.
She added that she believes failure to provide a receipt is not a reason to believe someone has been shoplifting.
The woman said she went through self-checkout, but the officer said the employee did not see her checkout.
“Did you witness me not pay,” she said repeatedly to the police officer.
“Did you witness me put something into my pocket?
The Walmart customer insisted she was “100% right” because no one saw her steal items.
“You did not witness me steal anything,” she said.
The police officer had his foot on the cart and refused to let them leave until the purchase was verified.
She repeatedly asked the police officer why she was being detained and insisted she be able to leave.
People in the comments seemed to agree with the Walmart customer.
One person claimed if they have to do all the work to check out then they are their own receipt checker as well.
Along with another who claims they can’t force receipt checks.
“If I am going to be my own cashier, I’m going to be my own receipt checker. I checked my receipt, and everything is paid for. Have a good day,” one commenter said.
“We do not have to show our receipt unless it is a membership store like Costco. If they do not have evidence of shoplifting they can kick rocks,” this commenter said.
Shoppers are not legally required to show receipts at any retailer but it could cause individuals issues with the store if they chose not to.
